Every four years winter sports competitors from across the world come together to compete in the Winter Olympics. First held in Chamonix, France in 1924. Australia first sent a competitor to the Winter Olympics in 1932 and has sent a team every year since 1952. Australia has sent athletes to every Winter Paralympic Games since they began in 1976.
